HP Stations
These workstations run the HPUX UNIX operating system. There are 30
HP B200 workstations located at 2145 Newmark. There are 30 HP C240's in
1009 Mechanical Engineering Laboratory
Sun Stations
The Engineering Workstation Labs have SUN Ultra 2, SUN Ultra 10 and SUN Ultra 60
workstations from Sun Microsystems, running Solaris UNIX as the operating
system. There are SUN Ultra 2s workstations located in room L440 DCL
(reserved for CS110) and 35 SUN Ultra 5 workstations located in room L520
DCL (reserved for CS101 and CS125). There are 40 SUN Ultra 60s in the
Grainger Library Lab. There are also 22 Sun Ultra 10s in
Engineering Hall, along with 8 Sun Ultra 60s.
Dell Precision Workstations
The Engineering Workstation Labs have recently added 30 Dell Precision
420 Workstations to 1009 Mechanical Engineering Lab and Dell Precision
220s to Engineering Hall lab. These machines are currently running Windows
2000.
