Introduction

This lab introduces you to histogram modification, a method for image enhancement. The goal is to modify an image to make its features more easy to see. An image that has a very narrow histogram (i.e. a small range of intensities) can contain information that is very difficult to perceive. We take a look at histogram equalization and gamma correction in this lab.
