My Family

Jeff

My husband is Jeff Chambers. We live in Champaign, Il, with our guinea pig, Boca. He works at a company called Dynamic Separations, where he is helping to build a prototype system that separates particles of coal, called coal fines, from suspension with water and other particles. We are both active in our church, St. Patrick's. We're pretty different - he hates both math and Buffy, the two coolest things I know of - but despite this, he's pretty great.

Grace

My daughter's name is Grace Moriarty Chambers. We call her Mort. (Don't ask.) Here are some cute pictures on my flickr account.

Parents

My parents are Robert and Susan Wolf; they live in Edwardsville, IL. Dad has just retired from the philosophy department at SIUE; I think he plans to enjoy being a gentleman of leisure for a while. Mom writes weekly columns for the newspaper and volunteers at Cahokia Mounds and the Glen-Ed food pantry. She also teaches classes at SWIC, mainly for the GED and pre-GED program there. She used to teach fourth grade at St. Boniface, but retired a while ago. Mom and Dad also volunteer at the library, and they are very involved at their church, St. Mary's.

Siblings

I have two sisters, Kristin and Kara, and one brother, Erik. Kristin has three children, Maggie, Cole, and Annie, and Kara has two children, Carroll and Genevieve. Both of my sisters are married to their own Jeffs.

Kristin lives in North Dakota, with her husband Jeff. She works at University of North Dakota in the Honors Program, where she gets to teach some very cool classes. Her Jeff is a Dean of Students at University of North Dakota. Maggie is 9 years old, loves to read, and has a black belt in karate. Cole is 6 years old, also loves to read, and is into playing games with his sisters. Annie is 3 years old, and is unbelieveably cute.

My brother Erik works at some sort of stock trading company in Chicago. He runs the computer systems for his company, and loves to explore the city and travel to cool places.

My sister Kara lives near Chicago with her Jeff, who works at the IBM Innovations Center. He does really cool stuff with computer graphics and related things. Some of his art is available at his website. (And look, I even helped a tiny bit with some of it!.) Their son, Carroll, is about five years old, and is an incredibly active kid who loves trains more than anything else. Their daughter, Evie, is two years old, and also shows signs of unbelievable cuteness.
