Biography

Jiing-Yun received his bachelor degree in Civil Engineering and Master of science degree in Civil Engineering and Hydraulic Engineering from National Taiwan University. Currently, he is pursing the PhD degree at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

Jiing-Yun’s major work focuses on the interdisciplinary approaches in water resources system. He applies economic and operational theories to solve water resource managing problem. Several innovative concepts were purposed in his previous study. His work addresses the importance of explicit stochastic approach and the impact of uncertainty on the decision making process.

Besides the academic training, Jiing-Yun is equipped with sufficient practical working experience. He pays attentions on  the application of hydrologic and hydraulic model as subsidy research. In this part, his work addresses the importance and knowledge of the model implementation in real world.
