The main idea behind this project is to take some of the 386's I have and put them into good use. The architecture of the 386 and the mother board can be used very easily with other inexpensive parts to have them used as micro-controllers.
There are a couple of things to make sure that the board is up and running.
A neat little place I've found for motorized units that can be controlled with PC signals is: http://www.robotics.com/. The place may be kinda pricey, but goto to the hobbies sections for some cool information and resources for robot building projects.
