And just what are the Forgotten Realms? The Forgotten Realms is the largest, most detailed setting for the Advanced Dungeons and Dragons role-playing game. This website facilitates our online AD&D campaign, originating in Shadowdale at the heart of the Dalelands (hence, Tales of the Dales). We use the AD&D 2nd edition revised rule set along with some of the 2nd edition Player's Option rules, with a few custom modifications borrowed from 3rd edition. If you choose to proceed, prepare to enter a world of heroes and adventurers, where humans stand alongside elves, dwarves, and other fantastic races, and where powerful wizards battle ferocious monsters in the struggle of good against evil.
This site uses the Celtic and Book Antiqua fonts. If you do not have one or both or do not know if you have one or both you can compare the text you see to a picture of the fonts and download them on the Downloads Page.
Also, this site was tested using Opera v7.10 and Internet Explorer v6.0 and was optimized for a resolution of 1024x768 or higher; some elements were found to not display correctly at a resolution of 800x600, though not illegibly so. As an option for people still using 800x600 resolution, I've set up a system by which a floating menu window will open pages in a separate browser window, thereby freeing up the width that the framed menu would occupy.
