Research Assistant, Kelleher Lab, Urbana-Champaign, IL (2001 - present)

Created and developed ProSight Warehouse, a bioinformatics data warehouse for ProSight PTM. This was the first commercially available Top-Down proteomics software suite, released as ProSightPC¢ç licensed to Thermo¢ç in 2006.

 

Research Assistant, NCSA, Urbana-Champaign, IL (1999 – 2001)

Designed and implemented the Hierarchy Builder of the Hierarchical Distributed Dynamic Indexing (HDDI) project in Java for the National Center for Supercomputer Applications (NCSA).

 

Volunteer Researcher, CANIS Lab, Urbana-Champaign, IL (1997 - 1998)

Engineered and wrote code in C for the Boeing knowledge management system.

 

Co-System Operator, MediNet BBS (1991 – 1999)

Co-founder and intermediary for private bulletin board system that encourages communication between medical doctors.

 

Pharmaceutical Researcher/Assistant Manager, Samjin Pharmaceutical Company (1991 – 1996)

Investigated natural products to produce a new medicine.  Supervised 12 individuals on a daily basis. Troubleshot and managed quality control for highest selling painkiller company in Korea.

 

Teaching/Research Assistant, Chung-Ang University, Seoul, Korea (1989 – 1991)

Pharmaceutical Botany Laboratory instructor (12 hours/week)

 

Freelance Technical Writer, Korea (1991- 1996)

Published hardware and software articles for computer magazines and major newspapers in Korea.

Professionally tested newly developed software and advised executives in Hangul & Computer that is Korea's largest software company.

 

Tester for YMCA Consumer Report, Korea (1994)

Tested all 25 notebook computers sold nationally. This consumer report was distributed nationwide and cited in all major newspapers.
