Brief Vitae
I received my B.E. degree and my M.E. degree both in Thermal Engineering from Tsinghua University (Beijing, China) in 1998 and in 2001, respectively. In 2001, I enrolled in a PhD programme in Mechanical Engineering at the
University of Illionis at Urbana-Champaign (Illinois, USA).
Research Interests
My research interests
are in the areas of physical modeling and multiscale simulation of micro- and nano- electromechanical systems, physical modeling and computational analysis of multiphysics systems, numerical methods, algorihtms and high performance computing. Along these lines, I have done work on continuum-level, atomistic-level simulations of MEMS/NEMS models, multi-length-scale simulations of mechanical behaviors of nanoelectromechanical systems based on silicon or carbon nanotubes. I am also interested in the
fast and efficient numerical algorithms for multi-physics systems.
